Makes it easier to keep clean. * Point of interest. I changed out the headstock bearings a few years ago. Found there was really nothing wrong with them because the headstock was simply out of adjustment making for a loose sloppy headstock. I replaced them with new anyway since I had it apart. That’s when I found the original Timken bearing races inner & outer were hand engraved with dates I have to assume were the dates received or installed. One is 9/10/46 the other is 4/14/47. The lathe works great given its size & age. I’m selling it because I bought a new larger lathe & have no need or room for it now. Item is in Ft Meade FL. Can arrange local pickup in Lakeland Fl as well just let me know.
