NO RETURNS a Nice 1925 Antique Walker & Hall Silverplated Two Piece Covered Entree Serving Dish with a removable handle. This piece was made in England prior to 1954 and we were told the markings are from 1925. (as determined by the 4 markings and 52216 located on the bottom of the item). It measures about 11 ½ by 8 ½ and weighs about 4 pounds. George Walker started the business in 1845 when he secured the royalty for electroplating at Sheffield. He was joined by Henry Hall and the business became Walker & Hall in 1853 . Walker & Hall used series of date letters of different style (uppercase, lowercase, gothic, Greek alphabet, etc.) contained into a lobed contour and in four shields of various shapes. The marking on this item indicates it was made around 1925. In good pre-owned as purchased condition as pictured. Please note that this is a pre-owned item sold as is so may need a cleaning and polishing if desired. It shows some signs of minimal normal wear and minor scratches. The 2 dollar bill is shown for item size as a 2 dollar bill just like the the 1 dollar bill measures 6 inches by 2 ½ inches so if u ever need a measuring scale the dollar bill is it.
