The bas relief design is highlighted by frosted glass which also obfuscates the contents placed in the container. This would be a beautiful addition to your dresser to hold your jewelry or on your sofa table to radiate light. Perhaps, it will remind you of visits to Italy or an art museum closer to home. This piece I would guess is very near 100 years old, it might well be older. It is approximately 7X 3 3/4 X 2 inches. I first saw it when I married at age 20, at the home of elderly relatives that collected Lalique glass. This is reminiscent of that genre of glass. I inherited and cared for the piece and have now been married 55 years.
