NO OTHER DEALER HAS THESE AVAILABLE OR WILLING TO DO THIS ATTENTION TO OEM DETAIL Up for Sale is a set of Restored standard Disc Brake Calipers 65-82 Corvette models; 1st Design 65-66, 2nd Design 67-73 (pictured),& later 3rd design 74-82, except for the casting numbers all look the same-we guarantee they will be the correct casting numbers for your request/year model: 1st design used in 65-66 ONLY, or 2nd design used 67-73, or 3rd design used 74-82 . We can build any year model units you need-or rebuild yours! This sale is an EXCHANGE price! Most other re-builders are just that-re-builders and not particularly interested in the details that avoid judging point losses-these are no excuses, NCRS/Bloomington Gold quality. We also can do early Camaro calipers done with the same detail and specs. Yes, you can find cheaper rebuild services, but certainly not with the quality and attention to detail that you see here. Pads not included, but are available. These calipers are rebuilt and detailed to custom in a number of ways available:1) Painted black, but machined areas will not have paint, and no inspection paints-this listing price.2) Painted black, then re-machined like factory-this is what the Judges prefer to see. Add $600 for this feature.3) Same as #2, but also have inspection paints (per year model), just like the factory did, we change out the pins for silver cad; this is what you need for National Judging; please add $150 to #2 price for this option. This option is our NCRS/Bloomington Gold version, and in my opinion are a work of art! Note: 1st design 65-66 models used an insulator disc on the pad surface of the piston. We have this type piston available for an additional cost of $650 (they ain't cheap). Otherwise, both the we usually order them for this listing with a non-insulator piston, as was used from 66-82. You can not see the insulator once the caliper is installed. These Brake Calipers are restored cosmetically to original/OEM specs, based on GM Shop Manuals, examination of original components/configuration and NCRS Judging Manuals (depending on options). The Calipers themselves are original OEM Delco Moraine units: Front casting #5465954 & 5465952, Rear casting #5465902 & 5465905 (all correct for 65-66), or Front casting #5452270 & 5452273, Rear casting #5452281 & #5452284 (all correct for 67-72) & Front casting #5473795 & # 5473796, Rear casting #5473806 & # 5473807 (correct for 74-82). These Calipers have been treated to Stainless Steel Sleeves and O-Ring Seals. The 304 Stainless Steel Sleeves yield a mirror perfect cylinder surface that will never rust like the original cast surface and the 45 degree parting line O-Ring Seals (rather than conventional O-Rings, or OEM Lip-Seal) & Pistons; gives years of hassle free operation. These seals can sit for months/years at a time and never leak, as Lip Seal units will. These Seal/Piston units cost a little more, but well worth it-said from personal experience. Pads are not included because different customers want different type of material on the pads, which varies in price-call for availability and pricing. Our NCRS/Bloomington Gold ready calipers are different from any other out there. We start with OEM calipers and have them sleeved. We have the surfaces re-machined, and painted correct Semi-Gloss (per NCRS). We also provide Silver Cad pins (called for in Judging Manuals) vs. Gold dychromate that all reproduction pins are (I realized later, the pictured units have gold, but we have changed them out-all now are silver). You may be able to find a cheaper price, but you will not find a match when it comes to detail, quality and adherence to originality. Some sets of Calipers are ready for immediate shipping (depending on year model, while other applications may need appropriate inspection paints for your year model-takes a day to apply paints), but; Since, this is an exchange pricing/listing, a core charge of $500/set will be charged to ship immediately; then when you return your acceptable cores (no rusty junk, please), we will refund the core deposit (adjustments to core value may result for different, or non-matching OEM casting numbers, excessive rust, damage, etc. @ $60/half caliper-NO CREDIT for non-Delco Castings). We can, if you wish; re-build your Calipers (any year/design) to the same high degree of quality-allow up to two months turn time (or additional cost for shipping to & from machining), and a "baby sitting fee" of $100/set-to get yours back. We find if your calipers have ever been changed out/exchange rebuilt previously-there most likely is a mix of 1st, 2nd & 3rd design P/N-if you do not have correct matching core P/N's, there is a cost of $40/caliper, which effectively reduces your cores charge refund. All Delco Moraine cores will have value, but different casting numbers than you need for your specific model will result in the $40/caliper charge. Master Cylinders: we have in stock; 65-66 non-power units, 65-66 power units, and "DC" &"PG" 67-79 model units with the same high degree of quality (no paint machined surfaces). Check for availability and pricing for your application. We can get you any year model master 57-82. If this much detail and expense is not what you need, but you need new sleeved calipers-for the budget minded, we offer similarly re-manufactured SS sleeved, O-Ring Calipers; to match the model of your Corvette or Camaro (standard versions, all black, exchange-same core policy detailed above will be enforce. This price is competitive with "Big Box Vendors", but we can provide matching casting numbers, they can not-at least not reasonably priced and there will be a time delays (assumes you send like correct castings as cores or our matched casting up-charge above is used).
