Description: Coors Golden Export Beer can flat top with Internal Revenue Tax Paid on the front bottom of the can. This is the first beer can produced by the Adolph Coors Brewery in Golden Colorado. This can was first made in the late 1930s - based on the American Can Company code on the seam, you can see that it was produced in 1937. I picked this up at an online auction over 10 years ago and it is a very good example of the first can. It has the Double Aged script and story on the back of the can. The first 3 Coors cans produced are the best in my opinion - the primary color is a dark gold and that is highlighted by the black Coors and Beer script and the black rim at the bottom. The red "Export Lager" shield pops and there is a very cool Adolph Coors logo at the bottom center. This is a very nice can and worth north of $150. The colors are very sharp on this can - see the pictures. Good luck and happy bidding!
