As a gallery frame the image is intended to be mounted from the front of the frame, not the back. You will want to make sure that your canvas or print is gallery wrapped to properly fit the frame. The final look should just about even with the edge of the face of the frame without extending past. When the gallery wrapped canvas is centered in the frame there should be approximately 1/4" on each side of the canvas for spacing to create the look of a floating canvas in the frame.
