Description: PLEASE READ CONDITION ISSUES! This listing is for a lot of Tarzan books from the 1960s (1963, 1964, 1965, 1966). A few of the books are second printing, most are first printing. The books have MANY condition issues. However, they are 60+ years old, and I'd like to give them a chance in case someone would be interested some of the lot. Technically, this is 1-24 + 25, but the condition issues make the set feel less than complete. Please read all condition issues below and check out all photos. CONDITION: Poor to Fair. This group of books has a number of problems with condition, some of which are quite unfortunate, particularly the vandalized copy of #15. ALL of the novels have yellowing of pages, old book smell, wear and creases, folds on cover. Quite a few of the books have cover and binding separation, loose pages, page folds or tears. Small folds in the corners of pages are somewhat common. A few of the books have some writing in ink or black marker. Tarzan #15 is in the absolute worse shape: it is vandalized with profanity, marker, has torn and loose pages, yellowing tape. Please check out all photos as well as individual book comments below. Tarzan 7: Tarzan the Untamed -- First Printing, July 1963 -- separated from cover at the spine Tarzan 8: Tarzan the Terrible -- First Printing, July 1963 -- few pages that don't seem to be loose but are sticking out further than other pages Tarzan 9: Tarzan and the Golden Lion -- Second Printing, November 1963 -- corners of some pages folded over, spine separated from cover Tarzan 10: Tarzan and the Ant-Men -- First Printing, July 1963 -- This book doesn't appear to have a contents page with page numbers (Missing?). Separated from cover. Large tear on last page Tarzan 11: Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle -- First Printing, September 1963 -- folded page. Separation of spine from cover. Tarzan 12: Tarzan and the Lost Empire -- First Printing, October 1963 -- Loose pages, separation of spine from cover Tarzan 13: Tarzan at the Earth's Core -- First Printing, March 1964 -- stain/mark on corner of page 127/128 Tarzan 14: Tarzan the Invincible. -- First Printing, March 1964 -- Tarzan 15 -- First Printing, March 1964 -- VANDALIZED! This book has marker scribbles, expletives/profanity written out by someone, pages that were torn out and taped with what is now very old and yellowing tape. I'm sure there's some story behind the poor treatment of this book, but I will never know what it was, just that it resulted in this vandalized book. Tarzan 16: Tarzan and the City of Gold -- First Printing, March 1964 -- tear on page 83, 89, etc. strange discoloration of pages around pages 135-139ish. Has a block of ink/marker on the page inside the front cover. Tarzan 17: Tarzan and the Lion Man -- First Printing, March 1964 -- Tarzan 18: Tarzan and the Leopard Men -- First Printing, March 1964 -- Number on pages 27, 53 circled in ink/marker for some reason.
