These digital codecs operate with standard telephone (POTS) analog lines in the USA. They do not have optional ISDN cards inserted in the slot. The audio quality is superb. You need matching or compatible codecs on each end of the call obviously for the call to handshake and handle the encoding and decoding of the audio. Supports both voice and music settings.
