Author Biography Riccardo Dalle Grave, MD, is Director of the Department of Eating and Weight Disorders at Villa Garda Hospital in Verona, Italy. In this department, Dr. Dalle Grave has developed an original treatment for the eating disorder based entirely on the enhanced cognitive behavior therapy (CBT-E), in particular the adaptation of outpatient CBT-E for adolescents and for intensive settings. He also developed the personalized cognitive behavior therapy for obesity (CBT-OB). His current research includes assessing the effectiveness of CBT-E and CBT-OB in the treatment of adults and adolescents with eating disorders or obesity in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Dr. Dalle Grave is editor of the CBT-E website and Director of the Advanced Training Course on the Treatment and Prevention of Eating Disorders and Obesity sponsored by the Italian Eating and Weight Disorder Association (AIDAP). He also provides CBT-E supervision for clinical services in Europe, the United States, Australia, and the Middle East. Dr. Dalle Grave is a Fellow of the Academy of Eating Disorders, serves on the editorial boards of several journals in the field, and published about 150 peer-reviewed articles.
