Description: This cross-stitch was made by my grandmother in 1975 to create a permanent display for one of her favorite prayers that she “borrowed” from a USO flyer she had picked up years earlier. “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.” **· This cross-stitch thread is 100% wool, created on linen twill. · The piece has always been maintained in a smoke-free, pet free home. · The cross-stitch is encased behind glass in its original wood frame. · The cross-stitch is easy to remove from the frame as it is attached to a board as a means to keep it firm and prevent slippage. · Frame color is currently beige and has been painted a couple of times; as the buyer you may wish to have the piece re-framed. The cross-stitch is in exceptional condition after 49 years and shows no signs of age.
