Description: The point measures 2 5/8 inches long and 7/8 inches across the widest part. This Colorado Agate Basin Point can be identified by the pronounced flaking of the lower lateral edges. Generally horizontal flaking with finer marginal retouching. Distribution of the point extends from Western Canada, Wyoming (Brewster site), Idaho (Birch Creek Valley site), and into Colorado. It is generally thought the Agate Basin points date from 9000 - 7500 BC. (35)
