Its reverse side features a spectacled bear walking on four legs, and an Andean condor bird flying above the mountainous landscape of Paramos de Colombia Fuentes de Agua with Frailejon plants. The Liberty head bank seal, a bumblebee, and a poem titled Melancolia by Jose Asuncion Silva are also added to the back design. The security features of the note include a Fuschia-to-green windowed security thread with demetalized BRC and bumblebees and a watermark image of Jose Asuncion Silva and electrotype 5.
