Description: Set of 5 pcs. of the largest gold/ceramic chips I have ever seen. These are Mainframe chips made by NEC. There are 5 chips in these sets. These very rare chips were used for “ The EARTH SIMULATOR PROJECT in JAPAN in the early 1980’s. The Simulator was the fastest computer in the World for several years back then, taking up an auditorium size building to house it’s massive size. Very interesting to read about on the Internet!!! The p/n’s are written on green notes by chips in photos, along with size & weights of each. The set weights 1.3.5 lbs or 553 g. I have a few sets of these. When I list them, the actual pictures of the set you will receive will be shown. The p/n’s on chips are more visible on some sets more than others, and chipped ceramic & bent pins will also vary by set. ( what you see in pictures is what you will receive )This first set is probably one of the best sets, with p/n all visible & no chipping that I could see. There are some bent bent pins. Happy bidding on these RARE chips. You will probably be one of the few collectors to have them in your collection!! FREE SHIPPING These were desoldered from boards and originally, memory chips were soldered on top the big chips, but I got them as they are now. These chips are being sold for collectors or for gold recovery. I will try & add a close up picture of the model of one chip. Please message me if there is any interest in singular chips, thanks, JOE
