Description: This item is a High Voltage Safety shorting Bar from a Collins 30L-1 amplifierThis is what shorts out the high voltage when you remove the safety cover on many amplifiers. All well designed commercial and homebrew equipment use this as for protection against operating the amplifier with the covers off. When the covers are in place, it puts pressure on the spring loaded ring and moves it away in the "unshorted" position. As soon as you remove the cover, the grounded ring goes against the HV terminal and shorts the plate voltage to ground. And just as importantly, it also insures the remaining charge in the filter capacitors is taken to ground in the event the bleeder resistors are open. These are very hard to find. You will receive the EXACT item shown in the pictureThanks for looking!!! _gsrx_vers_1516 (GS 9.3 (1516))
