Description: This is a bronze Chinese turtle lock with key. I'd never seen one until I acquired this one recently. I had to Google to find out what it was. There are a ton of these on eBay, some claiming to be rare. I have my doubts and suspect they're all reproductions. They're still fun, nonetheless. This one is about 4 1/4 inches long, including the key, 1 3/4 inches wide, and about 1 1/4 inches tall. Many that I see on eBay have a green jewel on the tail where mine has a hole. I don't know if this one had a jewel that was lost, or perhaps never had one. The feet pivot. It's a little tricky to get the key out and back in but it can be done with a bit of fiddling.
