Description: Up for sale today is a Vintage Coleman U.S. Model L427 Lantern. This one is date stamped 7 4, or April of 1927. This is the last month and year that U.S. Coleman made this model with the external pump. This lantern is still in excellent vintage condition. There are a couple of very tiny dings on the tank though, but they are extremely small and hard to notice. There are some small chips in the original green ventilator, but there are no dents anywhere on it. I have not polished this lantern up in any way, but I am sure that it could be polished up to have a beautiful shine to it. This lantern has never been taken apart, as the tabs on the lower burner tube are still in perfect condition. The glass globe is not original, but it is in perfect condition. As you can see this lantern is in perfect working condition. It lights up and burns extremely bright. It pumps up and holds its pressure perfectly, as I have installed a brand new fuel cap gasket in it, and I oiled the leather pump cup. All you will need to do is add new mantles and some fresh fuel and it will be for use. This lantern will be carefully shipped. " NO SHIPPING TO P.O.
