Description: Coalbrookdale Edwardian Cast Iron Walking Stick Umbrella Stand. England Early 20th Century. 28 1/4" high x 20" wide x 9" depth. Unmarked (Some were some were not).Others sold Christie's London etc (pictured)Appears to have been painted three times .. originally green..then painted a blue of which hints still show, and now black which seems recent (15-20 years) and in good shape. The bottom of the stand is unpainted raw CastIron showing its age as do the square bolts. A very heavy beautiful and compact Umbrella Stand for the historic house. Cheers : )Condition: Excellent antique condition.Repainted since original. Some few spots where blackis nicked off showing original and succeeding paint layer.Stands slightly crooked as square bolt on one side tightenedbefore foot set fully into pocket but I have been reluctant toloosen bolt to adjust it down, likely done when put backtogether after re paint. I never noticed it untilwe started taking these pictures.
