I'm not sure if this is leather bound, but it is definitely made with custom boards, custom end pages, and platinum stamping to the boards and spine that is of significantly higher quality than the original publisher. It also has beautiful hand marbled boards. That said, when this edition was made, it used a standard 1st/1st edition during the binding process. That makes this a very special 1st/1st edition, and it is further enhanced by it's signed limitation page. This volume is absolutely stunning and would make your bookshelf very pretty. It would have cost over $100 to convert your standard hardcover to this quality, but you can buy this edition for barely more than a new unsigned Cussler book.
