Description: Here for the American Girl Doll collector is a GORGEOUS PRE-Mattel American Girl Doll MOLLY by Pleasant Company--in VERY GOOD to EXCELLENT gently cared for condition. Doll dates to the early to mid 1990s and was played with lightly or not at all. Molly comes in her white silhouette Pleasant Company box (shows wear), her first-edition hard cover "Meet Molly" book (cover shows some wear). Also included are her silver wire rimmed eyeglasses (with the earlier curved ear piece) and red felt carrying case. She comes wearing her meet outfit--argyle sweater, white dickie, navy wool skirt (tagged made in West Germany 1986), white bloomers, white socks and black Mary Jane shoes. The lettering "Pleasant Company" and the copyright sign are stamped on the back of her neck and the artist mark is visible behind her right ear. Long white neck strings are intact. Tan cloth body is the earlier chubbier version and is immaculate. I see no marks or stains. Limbs are still amazingly tight for her age; she stands and holds a pose independently. Hair is still in original factory braids held by original red ribbons, but the rubber bands have disintegrated. I note some flyaway hairs. Soft brown eyelashes frame perfect blue gray eyes (no silvering). A beautiful quality doll! From my smoke-free home.
