Description: Clarice Cliff Gayday Octagonal 7.5" Cake Plate with Metal HandleHand painted Bizarre by Clarice Cliff Wilkinson Ltd Englandprinted on the bottom (I believe this stamp is printed and not hand painted butI could be wrong). I also believe this is a cake plate but could be a cookie or tidbit plate.Colours are nice and bright. Plate does have some minor wear with a mark nearone of the orange flowers which is very smooth (see pic) and a small sort of mark or chip which is kind of like an uneven part which is smooth at one of the 8 corners.There is also some wear to the metal handle which is mostly at the bottom.The underside of the plate does have some light crazing and staining as seen in my picturesand some marks here and there but no cracks.I'd say this plate is in excellent condition for its age.This cake plate is very rare and hard to find and would make a nice addition to your collection!!Please ask me any questions you may have.
