Description: Up for auction I have This book about the work of Claes Oldenburg was written by Barbara Rose for The Museum Of Modern Art as well as the Checklist catalog that came with it. The book has some issues and is in AS IS condition and the Checklist is in good shape. Book is still fantastic but with issues. This was my parents original copy. The original book had a puffy vinyl plastic jacket. The puff has disintegrated inside so a bit of dust poufs out at you. The jacket is still nice or more than decent otherwise. There is some discoloration to vinyl on binding as well as in inside edges. There are also some small marks on the vinyl that may come off. Pages inside are mostly straight and they are all very clean BUT I do see some water damage to a few pages on the edges. Not all of them but a few. It shows up mostly to the glossy pages with the art and illustrations as I pictured. Inside is marked 1970. The catalog that is the Checklist is marked 1969 and mentions there are 50,000 copies of these. It is straight and clean overall with the bottom edges showing discoloration from age. This discoloration can also be seen on the very edge towards the opening and top. No rips or tears anywhere. Book deserves a little cleaning and a new home! Please see photos!
