Description: CIZHOU incised Flower & Fish Bowl Song - Yuan Dynasty (1115-1368) This item is a genuine Chinese antique.Incised Cizhou ware is very rare with most being painted with flowing lines and then only part of the design incised. This bowl however has been initially painted with brown pigment and then fully incised with lines to create a unique pattern.The design is of a central flower with fish and leaves on either side. The border of the bowl is also incised with a key fret style pattern. The bowl has deep rounded sides supported on a slightly splayed foot. The exterior is left plain with a white slip up to the foot that exposes the biscuit texture. CONDITION = Very good with only minor firing imperfections.
