Description: CIVIL WAR US CARTRIDGE BOX PLATE This is my last piece. I picked this up from an auction of a lot of civil war memorabilia. Most of it has already sold but I still have a few pieces of leather belts remaining. I was informed by a collector that this item is a cartridge box plate. This one is a bit smaller than the other two that I've sold over that past couple of weeks and doesn't look to be as worn as the others. I assume it is a cartridge box plate. The patina on this one is different than the past two. I will leave it to the expert collectors to determine if it's worth adding to their collection.
