Description: Circa 1860s cylinder style medicine bottle, just missed being pontil. Bottle is approximately 6.25 inches in height and is embossed horizontally JohnJ Smith Louisville, KY. This bottle is in good condition with no chips or cracks. It is very crudely made, you can see from photos where the top does not form all of the way and is shaped to more of a pour spout. I think this is just a flaw in making. Bottle appears to have been cleaned, retains some staining, but has some great looking bubbles throughout. Nice looking early bottle.
