Description: Description:This is a nicely done condensation of Winston Churchill’s classic 4-volume history of Great Britain and the United States, Canada and Australia. It was arranged for one volume by Henry Steel Commager. It contains numerous maps, diagrams, illustrations and family trees alongside the text. Quite a readable history (and a little shorter than all four volumes, too!) Churchill’s History of the English-Speaking PeoplesWinston Churchill, edited by Henry Steele Commagerpre-ISBNDodd, Mead & Co., 1965Hardcover with dust jacket, index, 475 pagesEx-library copy************************************ This is an ex-library book that has been discarded from my local public library. Proceeds from the sale benefit the Friends of the Library who help the library acquire new books and services. All ex-library books will have handling wear. The pages will probably be soiled, the binding may be weak or starting to come apart, there will be cataloguing marks and stickers, pages might have tears or creases, and so on. However all books are readable, have no missing pages or odors and have been carefully screened to be sure there is nothing “icky” in them. All obvious flaws will be noted in the condition section. It is wonderful to be able to rescue these readable books for new readers. Condition: This is an ex-library book that has obvious wear and tear but is in good, readable condition. The pages have a little soiling, but it is surprisingly clean and has few blemishes, tears or creases. The binding is good, with some wear. It has a mylar cover with a little wear and the usual library stamps and pasted-in front pocket. Overall, this is a used, but comparatively clean and readable copy. All books are wrapped and packed carefully in cardboard to ensure their safe arrival.____________________________________Okay, here are all those pesky little details: Payment:I ask that you pay within 3 days. If you are having an unexpected delay, just email me to let me know. Life happens, but communication can solve almost any confusion. I do combine postage on multiple items going to the same address. Just email me to let me know so I can send you a revised invoice with the adjusted postage.Nonpayment:I am a pretty easygoing person, but if I haven't either received payment within 3 days or heard from you, I have to assume you aren't planning on actually making the purchase. This means I'll have to follow eBay procedures for nonpayment of an item.Shipping:I always choose the least expensive form of shipping in order to save you money. The U.S. Post Office provides great service and their package tracking is free on all your purchases. However, sometimes speed is more important and I am happy to upgrade your shipping options if you can pay for the additional costs. If you contact me BEFORE payment, I am happy to set up alternative shipping methods, such as FedEx or UPS. I am an excellent packager and have a good supply of mostly recycled packaging supplies. I assure you I will take great care when I pack up your items. I've never had any damages yet! I go to the Post Office almost every day, so you can be sure that your item will be packed up and on its way to you either the same day or by the end of the next business day. Customer Service/Communication:Please remember, I have no control over the speed of the shipping once I drop your package off at the Post Office. I ship quickly on my end, but sometimes "stuff happens" during transit. I'm so sorry, but remember, it wasn't me. I personally hate it when I don't know what's going on with my online orders. Therefore I make sure to send you plenty of emails to let you know the details of your payments and the status of your shipment. Before you leave negative feedback, please email me first. I can usually figure out a solution to just about anything! And if you have any questions at all I am always happy to answer them.Returns:I want my customers to be happy with their purchases so I stand behind what I sell. If you are unhappy with your purchase within 30 days, you may return it; buyer pays postage. If I have made any errors in my description, I will pay the postage myself.Feedback:What makes eBay work is its feedback system. Please remember to leave honest and fair feedback promptly and I will do the same for you! Thanks for visiting The Occasional Something!Come again! _gsrx_vers_1292 (GS 8.3.6 (1292))
