Description: Here's a beautifully coated quartz point from a rare location in the Andes Mountains of Peru. A true natural beauty from a legendary now closed mine. Also special since not many pieces had the shattuckite association No damage on piece. The quartz crystal is coated in layers of chrysocolla, shattuckite, and black tenolite The shattuckite has formed after the chrysocolla and coated it in some areas of the piece. It has a light greyish/blue tone and fuzzy like appearance. On this piece its very prominent on the bottom side opposite from the point. The bright colors on this specimen really stand out and make your mineral cabinet pop.VIDEO colors do no justice to the piece From the famous Tentadora mine, Julcani District, Angaraes Province, Huancavelica, Peru. Piece measures approximately 6.4cm. X 1.6cm. [isdntekvideo]
