Description: Christmas Eve is a Maxfield Parrish illustration featured on a Brown & Bigelow Christmas card. The embossed card is 7 3/4" x 10 9/16" in size and is in excellent condition. Maxfield Parrish had a significant and long-lasting relationship with the Brown & Bigelow calendar company, beginning in the 1920s. Brown & Bigelow, a prominent producer of advertising calendars, commissioned Parrish to create artwork that would be used in their widely distributed calendars. His collaboration with the company helped make his art even more accessible to the public, as the calendars were sold and displayed in homes and businesses across America.
