Description: Here’s an extremley unique Chinese hanging lamp made of heavy porcelain with a scrolled brass/ bronze ornament. The light measures 17 1/2” wide including the scrolled brass, stands 10” high. And the shade by itself is 12” diameter. The raised red enamel is very pronounced with the detailed gold peacock feather design in an all over scrolling pattern. Hopefully the photos will show you everything you want to know. I’m positive this piece is “ DA QING QIANLONG NIAN ZHI “. I’ve seen very similar bowls and vases with identical designs with the red chop mark identifying it as such. The mark for this light is most likely under the brass topnehich is cemented on. This light is in excellent condition- no chips or cracks . It was likely produced in the late 19th or early 20th century. The heavy red enamel is a beautiful hue and contrasts wonderfully with the gold feather design..It comes with a nice bowl shape brass ceiling cap which compliments it. A bright, bold piece that will compliment any space. You’ll be pleased.
