Description: A necklace made from 98 Chinese Peking glass beads that were made for the Northwest Coast Native American tribes for trade during the late 19th Century. The necklace was made from an assortment of beads that give it a homemade look. They are not perfect with pitting, imperfect shapes, inclusions and hole sizes. The majority of the beads are an opaque white. Other beads are clear and a few beads at the bottom of the necklace are red. MEASUREMENTS 24” (61 cm) long. Hangs 12” (30,5 cm). Beads range from 5-6 mm in diameter Weighs 2.2 oz (63 g) CONDITION A few of the beads are chipped, but it’s very difficult to distinguish between damages and normal imperfections. They have a folk-art quality about them. The cord is in excellent condition, and they were certainly restrung at some point.
