Description: Chinese Famille Rose Pseudo-Tobacco Leaf Shallow Bowl Qianlong Period 18th Cent Click images to enlarge Description Chinese Famille Rose Pseudo-Tobacco Leaf Bowl Qianlong Period 18th Century ** If you are looking at this listing on your phone or tablet, please click on 'see full description' to see the listing in total as well as all the images I have provided ** A super example of Chinese porcelain from the Qianlong period (1735-1795). As you can see this is brightly enamelled in the famille rose palette and gilt, with a pair of ducks, amongst other decoration of rosettes, water lillies and what I beleive to be a poppy. The ducks (which are the Chinese symbol of fidelity) are looking at one another and both have red bodies, decorated with feathers painted in gold. There is a lot of gold gilt added to the colourful palate used. No markings on base. Whilst this has slight damage, such examples are hard to find so a great addition for a collector. Measurements: sits 1.75inches tall and 9.5inches wide, 5.25inches at base. Condition: fair overall condition with old hairlines on base, surface wear - please see all photos provided as these form part of the condition report.
