Description: A Chinese blue and white sauce tureen base dating to the Qianlong period. I have included images all round and as you can see it is rectangular with canted corners. The sides are hand painted with people in a Chinese landscape, town scene, with boats on water and a smaller island with houses and mountains in the background. The handles are rabbit heads with painted foliage beneath. Measuring 18.5 cm across (including rabbit mask handles) by 11 cm and standing 5.2 cm high.
