Description: For the Baseball Hobbyist. . . 1934 St. Louis Cardinals Gas House Gang card "CHICK" FULLIS Issued by TCMA, Ltd. in 1974 ~ *Trimmed to approximately 2-1/8" by 3-5/16" In 1974 The Card Memorabilia Associates, Limited (TCMA) issued this card as part of their 1934 St. Louis Cardinals Gas House Gang commemorative card set, then the 40th anniversary of those zany champions. The '34 Cardinals Gas House Gang edged the Detroit Tigers, 4 games to 3, for world champion honors after slipping past the New York Giants by a scant 2 games to cop the National League pennant. ~ This Card is Trimmed ~ TCMA issued this card in the rather unusual 2-1/4" by 3-5/8". However, this particular card has been trimmed to approximately 2-1/8" by 3-5/16". Perhaps to mount the card in a standard (2-1/2" by 3-1/2") collector sheet, 5/16" was trimmed from the top and 1/8" off the edges. This effectively removed the title of the card (1934 Cardinals or Gas House Gang). *Condition: Trimmed - check the high-resolution scans, front and back; this is the actual card the buyer will receive.
