Description: "Cher: A Biography" by J. Randy Taraborrelli. 1986 St. Martin's Press. Apparent 2nd printing (printing line number has a 2 as low number). ISBN 0312131704. 344 pages with black and white photos throughout. Hardcover with dust jacket. The author has signed and inscribed this book on the front flyleaf, using a red marker. The inscription reads: "January 6, 1987 To Wayne -- What a friend! Thanks. You influence me a lot! J Randy T". The book was purchased at the estate/moving sale of a Wayne Brasler, noted high school journalism teacher and proponent (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wayne_Brasler ). Taraborrelli acknowledged him in other of his books, but not this one. Also, laid in to this book, was a letter sent by the author with the book to Wayne. In the letter he talks about writing for "The Star" tabloid, interviewing Harvey Korman (Taraborrelli later wrote a biography of Carol Burnett), and partying with (dating?) Vanna White. Taraborrelli signed with his initials in red marker. Taraborrelli wrote this well-reviewed biography of Cher after the release of his first book on Diana Ross. Photos are of the actual book on offer. See the photos for additional insight into content and condition of this vintage biography of Cherilyn Sarkisian, better known as Cher.
