Description: CHASE TECHNOLOGIES RLC-1 REMOTE LINE CONTROLLER -- VERY GOOD CONDITION / NO REMOTE Up for sale is a CHASE TECHNOLOGIES RLC-1 (Remote Line Controller-1). These units are used to remotely adjust volume and select inputs with older pieces of audio equipment that were manufactured without remote capabilities. It is normally inserted either in the external processor loop (ideal) or in an available tape loop. They have been reviewed on various forums (e.g. see AudioKarma.org) and have quite a good reputation for exceptionally low distortion AND being very transparent. This Chase RLC-1 is in Very Good Condition BUT has NO Remote control unit - although I believe a "Universal" remote can be programmed to operate it (again, see AudioKarma.org). I originally bought this as a possible "Parts Unit" in case one of the others I had failed, but that never happened and this unit was never touched. There are a few scratches on the case BUT the face is Very Clean except for some missing silk-screening. It is functional, powering up and operating fine using a spare remote that I have. No modifications or repairs have been done to it, having never even removed the top to check inside since the original intent was for possible parts. ONLY the RLC-1 pictured is being sold. AGAIN, NO Remote, Owners Manual, or box, etc. I will include a couple of sheets of info on the loudness conversion which is a very popular mod.
