The recipient, Sir Adrian Baillie, was a British Member of Parliament and reported film buff who hosted parties attended by the royal families of England and Europe, and also by cinema stars. Chaplin inscribed this photo to him approximately four months before the film's premiere. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA, which confirms the photo as Type I and verifies the signature as authentic.
