The letter is to Farr Alpaca Co. It has a steel-cut engraved vignette of their factory on the waterfront with horse-drawn wagons unloading boilers onto the loading dock for pick up by boats. On the street side, we see pedestrians, a horse-drawn carriages and delivery wagons, and horse-drawn street cars. In the forefront are four models of boilers and engines. The letter reads, "We are about ready to send you our drawings and bid for your new boiler plant as per our conversation when we were at your mills. We also show in our drawings our Economizer (Kendall's Patent). We shall be at your mills next week with the plans. Yours Very Respectfully, Edward Kendall & Sons".
