About the Artist: Charles Peterson (born 1964) is considered the premiere photographer of the Grunge Rock era in 1980s/1990s Seattle. His images were featured on the Seattle episode of Dave Grohl's "Sonic Highways" on HBO. Peterson's photographs have appeared in publications and in galleries throughout the world, most notably a one-man exhibition at The Chrysler Museum in 2005. Peterson's work has also been featured at the Seattle Art Museum, The Museum of Pop Culture (Seattle) the Brooklyn Museum (NYC), and the Museum Folkwang in Essen, Germany. Provenance: I grew up in the Seattle music scene (lived in Seattle from 1986-1999). I knew Charles Peterson. I also represented his grunge rock era photographs for many years through my gallery in Santa Fe. In 2007, I asked Charles to print several of his best known images from the "grunge rock" era in Seattle for my personal collection, as full-frame, gelatin silver print photographs. Although he had recently stopped offering gelatin silver print photographs, in favor of archival pigment prints made through a computer rather than in a traditional wet darkroom, he was kind enough to make these prints for my private collection. They have been properly stored ever since 2007. This is THE LAST PRINT I now have remaining from my collection. Condition: Please review all auction images for more information and ask questions before bidding. This print is in overall excellent condition, with just a little curling on the edges (completely normal for a fiber based print - It should flatten out once properly matted and framed). It has been properly stored in an light-tight flat file since it was printed by the artist.
