Featuring works by Charles Frederick Buckley (1812-1869), John Edmund Buckley (1820-1884), W. R Buckley and others. An original inscription in the album reads 'Mrs Holdernesse - the gift of her affectionate brother C F Buckley. Collection Code 19vQBiography Charles Frederick Buckley was likely born in Cork, Ireland in 1812 and died in London in 1869. He was a member of an artistic Irish family. Charles exhibited at the British Institution and the Royal Society of British Artists on Suffolk Street, London between 1841-1869 (Benezit Vol II). Records suggest he was living with fellow watercolourist and miniaturist John Edmund Buckley at 17 King William Street, London in 1843.
