These pages were printed in 1843 for Dickens’ approval prior to going to press. He disliked the red and green and it was changed to red and blue. The Chimes (1845), The Cricket on the Hearth (1846), and The Battle of Life (1846) are all first edition, first issue. The Haunted Man and the Ghost’s Bargain (1848) is first edition, fourth issue. All books are in near fine/fine condition with matching decorative leather bindings. Museum quality and one of the rarest sets of books in the world.
