As this is soft ground, you can use the pencil method to make imprints on your plate. To achieve the pencil method, apply a light sheet of paper over the prepared plate. Next use a hard pencil to draw out your design. When the paper is removed it will take the pressured lines of ground with it, leaving the drawing on the plate.
