I pick out the pieces that I will use to build each chest from the stock on hand. Each piece of wood is planed down to be able to join the wood together. After it is joined I then plane the pieces down to their final thickness. I then assemble the chest. I use either a natural tung oil finish or I can use a urethane finish on the chest. The chest is finished with tung oil so you can have the beauty of the wood show. The inside is unfinished to give the cedar protection and the cedar smell. The chest pictured has been sold.
