Also, with supply chain issues currently, it isn’t uncommon you would be without a vehicle for weeks or months waiting for a replacement catalytic converter. This is as easy to install as common remote starters, aftermarket car alarms, etc. Run 1 wire from a 12v source that is always on. Run 1 wire to a negative/ground. A 4-foot-long braided strapping wire then goes to your catalytic converter. There is a stainless-steel band 8” long, that will need to be secured to your catalytic converter. It can be tack welded, riveted, metal adhesive, etc. On the other side of that band will be another 4-foot-long braided strapping wire that goes to the negative battery cable. That is, it!!! A powerful 105dB alarm will alert you if someone attempts to remove your catalytic converter. We recommend having this installed by someone familiar with vehicle electrical systems. Stainless-steel band can be welded to catalytic converter by a very low power welder. DO NOT USE too much power or you will burn the clamp. A competent exhaust shop can install the clamp very inexpensively. If not, you could obtain J-B weld or another similar metal adhesive.
