Description: For your consideration is a cast iron lid with a LODGE marking. The mark on this self-basting lid was used in the late 1980s and into the 1990s. It came from a Dutch Oven, but it seems to me that it could be used on a skillet or some other items. The interior has impressed wring that reads 10 1/4 8. One of my neighbors dropped the pan part on my concrete patio and badly cracked it. The rim of the pan part has an outside diameter of almost 10 5/8". The lid's inner ring has a diameter of 9 7/8". This lid is an old item that was used. The interior and the exterior were covered with rust. I cleaned off a lot of rust, but left plenty for the next owner. The interior and exterior are both covered with mild pitting, but I am sure that some of the roughness can be attributed to it being unfinished cast iron.
