Description: HUGE cast aluminum steam kettle with the number 8 in the center of a star on the lid and measuring approximately 12" wide (including the spout) by 7.5 tall (belly) by 9 in diameter. Designed for use both in acook stove 7" plate opening or surface heating. This particular style of teapots is attributed to the Chattanooga Stove Co. (circa 1800s). Steampots were crafted specifically to fit on the Chattanooga foundrys exquisitely designed Victorian stoves, but many collectors also fit in other brands. This hard to find large cast aluminum tea kettle features a bird beak spout and a pivoting, attached lid. This piece of history is in great condition with no leaks. It has with the expected wear for its age as shown in photographs. The interior is very clean as well. Please examine all photographs carefully prior to purchase.
