Description: This is a beautiful square talavera trinket dish or cigarette/cigar ashtray made by renowned Casa Guevara Puebla Mexico. (Signed on bottom). This is an old piece, made between 1900-1920s. It's in very nice shape, no major cracks or chips. There are a couple of minor paint chips on the edge. There is some crazing on the interior bottom of the dish which is normal for this Uriarte Talavera pottery glaze. The glaze is a creamy white with a hand-painted floral design on the bottom and wavy leaf pattern along the wide rim. It has a scalloped edge with colors of burnt orange, blue, green, yellow and black. Size is 4.5" wide and 1.25" tall. Thanks for looking!
