Lens covers Super 35mm format and also Full Frame 24x36mm sensor. Allows to focus on infinity.Aperture ring is declicked. Item description: The Carl Zeiss Distagon 25mm f/2.8 is a classic fast super wide-angle prime lens. The Distagon lenses are retrofocus lenses that are renowned for their remarkably short minimum focusing distance, sharpness and minimum distortion. The Distagon 25 was initially introduced in 1961 for the Carl Zeiss Contarex SLR system. The lens is still being produced nowadays although it has been altered significantly throughout the last decades. In the fast paced, consumer oriented photography world, having a lens being produced for over half a century is a true sign of quality. Later models were made for Rollei SL35 system (with Rollei QBM mount and M42 mount). M42 mount models are very rare. Later models had HFT multi-coated glass (High Fidelity Coating) - which was invented by ZEISS and Rollei for Rollei system lenses.
