Description: Here is a SUPERB antique set of 11 plates and 1 platter by Carl Tielsch, Germany. The marks on the underside indicate that these were manufactured between 1887-1900. What makes this set especially unique, is that each plate has a different type of fowl on it. I am unsure as to the various fowls represented but they are all beautiful and unique! The platter measures 12” x 17”. Each plate has an 8 1/2” diameter. CONDITION: The platter is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. 8 of the 11 plates are in EXCELLENT CONDITION. NO NICKS, CHIPS, CRACKS, ETC. 3 of the 11 plates have minor “chips” that look as though they’ve been repaired-see photos. Otherwise, those three have no other condition issues. Alaska and Hawaii buyers will have to pay more for shipping than what is listed.
