I would agree because, even though the game first came out in 1955 when roll and move was THE mechanic board games were built on, Careers builds off from this base mechanic with lots of innovation. For example, there are different win conditions! A player may choose to pursue Fame, Happiness, Money, or a combination of all three. To win, points earned in the 3 categories must total 60, such as 0 Happiness, 0 Fame, 0 Money; 20 of each; or any other combination, whatever each player chooses. There are also many ways to mitigate bad die rolls. For example, a player can spend an experience card with a 1, 2, 3, or 4 on it to move that many spaces. It's amazing how innovative this game is considering its time. And, most importantly, it's a lot of fun to play!
