Description: Card of 27 antique clothing buttons -- I believe most are made of celluloid, although there looks like one Bakelite and there may be a couple of Casein or other vintage plastic. These buttons were mainly produced during the early part of the 1900s -- probably the 1920s and 1930s. There are a number of different types / styles featured on this card, including:bubble-tops, realistic, wafer, set-in-metal, metal OMEs, tight tops, and others. The taco-like piece at the top-center is trim, rather than a standard button. Please refer to the ruler pictured in the image for the exact sizes of the buttons. Overall condition: Solid VG+..... The buttons may have light surface wear or tarnishing -- but I have noticed no cracks, breaks, or other more serious flaws. The group is overall in very nice shape and they will display quite well. My mom -- Nancy Moran -- was a longtime member of the National Button Society, plus was active in several local button clubs in New York. She is downsizing, so I am helping her sell some of her collection. But I am not familiar with all the terminology and intricacies of button collecting. I try to use various notes she left with the buttons to describe them to the best of my ability, but understand that any terms I use in describing these items, are not terms I am familiar or experienced with.
