Description: Calvert Reserve Blended Whiskey half pint empty bottle. There's a remnant of the ... plastic? ... top seal remaining; it does not want to stay on the bottle. Almost the entire revenue strip is present; it's the "Series III" style that began in 1945. The front and back labels seem to be in pretty good shape, although the back label was applied a tiny bit over the 'half pint' embossing and so it's got blemishes and wrinkles. Markings on the bottom of the bottle are easy to see: 13 in the lower left, D-126 in the center, 46 in the lower right, and what I'm pretty sure is the Anchor Hocking glass company logo in the upper right, as it's a large H superimposed over an anchor. The best date I can give this is circa 1946 based on the bottle date. When my father was young, he thought these old bottles were interesting, so he saved the bottle whenever his parents would finish one. Since 1962 they've been in a box at the house I grew up in.
